Job Overview

Jensen Hughes, a worldwide Consulting, Engineering and Compliance firm is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Manager to join our team in Sydney. The role will cover our building code, fire safety engineering, access and energy consulting teams.

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for expanding consulting business through the day-to-day management and coaching of a quotation management team and inside sellers; ensuring timely response to inbound leads and requests for quotes (RFQ’s) and proactive development of accounts with current, dormant and new customers to increase organic growth for Jensen Hughes Australia. The Inside Sales Manager should display and cascade an enterprise mentality and create a positive environment.

You are responsible for the prioritisation and assignment of resources, setting clear goals and priorities and tracking performance toward goals for your direct reports.

Ensure direct reports are prioritising highest opportunities and or accounts for the greatest potential impact on generating organic growth for Jensen Hughes Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Define expectation around response time, follow up on quotations, outbound calling, pipeline management, revenue targets etc. and proactively monitor and manage these.

  • Actively utilise CRM / project management software to monitor pipeline and provide coaching toward direct reports to ensure contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information is added, and accurate call / visit logs are entered.

  • General understanding of accounts with open work (Lead/Op/Proposal/Renewal) and support the team on moving proposals through the pipeline and closing orders.

  • Customer Service and post project follow up (internal and with client) and identify opportunities/initiate renewal discussion if end of contract cycle.

  • Identify growth opportunities from existing clients/current projects and work with team on a plan.

  • Qualify New Leads (Existing and New Clients) and gather information needed to move to proposal.

  • Proposal Document work (Creation/QC/Update).

  • Manage contract renewals for key clients / master agreements, supported by Operations/Administration.

  • Client/Account Research - Review past projects, notes, unique client items, history, connect with PM and Finance as needed.

  • Develop sales opportunities by exploring and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing some technical information and explanations of our service, and preparing proposals.

  • Communicating with Clients, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads/opportunities.

  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of Jensen Hughes Australia’s service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements.

  • Approximately 10 years of Sales experience, of which 3 years must have been in a sales management position.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.

  • Experience with CRM software platforms preferred.

  • General knowledge and confidence using computer databases and menu driven reports.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
